SM6BHZ beacon is audible here on 505.1 in IO91VC in Crawley West Susex with a good signal at about 569 sending callsign and QRSS10 from 20.00 onwards. Some slight QSB.
 
Antenna is a temporary lash-up with about 15m of semi-verticle wire tuned against ground via a small series loading coil and shunt 200pF variable capacitor feeding an FT817 RX via an up-converter to 4MHz.
 
The band looks very promising.
