 To all
,
I,m using an active
antenna simular to Roelofs mini whip for over 10 years  ( circuit
practically the same with DC coupling between the J310 and the 2N5109 ) with
very good results . I tried it in combination with a lot of different receivers
and came to the conclusion that any intermodulation was caused by overloading
the receiver and not by overloading the active antenna . Easy to check by using
an external or internal attenuator with steps of 10-20-30 dB  between the
active antenna and the receiver .
However I do not
have any powerful transmitters in the neighbourhood .
