Dear Group, I recently built Roelof's miniwhip e-probe and reported on the reflector that there was trouble with intermod when close to MF AM transmitter sites. This problem originates with the receiver and not the probe itself. This was verified by attenuating the output of the probe and hearing signals on 137 kHz what could not be heard without the attenuator because of interference. Thanks to Roelof for a good design and sharing it those who asked and his tip about the attenuator! Thanks also to the kind VE3 who sent me the semiconductors I was having trouble locating whin building the PA0RTD miniwhip. Still QRV on 137.777 kHz sending 'N' at QRSS60 after sunset. 73 Joe VO1NA |
