The thing Mal, G3KEV, wrote reminds me in how I had troubles to 'connect' two TV-U-cores together. Any suggestions how to stick them together in a good way? Even the slightest variation in pressure seems to change inductance in a rather large way. That's also one of the reasons I am searching for a toroid core......... It seems to be impossible to find a source for just one or two 3C90 cores here in Holland or Germany....... Luckely there might be a solution on its way from the UK? Dick, PA4VHF just to inform you: I'm planning to build a new (1kW) 136kHz station, including 'portable' antenna system, that I might take with me to LX later this year.......... |
