Bingo. Except you need a whole lot more
than beads will win you - ideally reactance up into the
kohms. 10-20 turns of coax around a big lump of 77 or 'J' material
(I use the 2.4 inch toroids Jay was selling a few months ago, though 1.4"
work well, too). This is the Whacking Great Common-Mode Choke
(W.G.C-M.C.) I mentioned the other night. Should be at the grounding
point, on the coax going to the receiver, *not* the
antenna.
