Hi Tom,
I started with a single wire 150 ft long, 50 ft high, with a 400W Tx., Antenna current was 2.4 A.
I then added a second wire, spaced 220 centimetres, resulting current was 3.8 A.
Wide spacing seems more important than number of wires. Trying with the ends shorted or isolated made no discernible difference.
