I think it might be interesting, I found another mode, basically MFSK +
FEC:

In it's original version it is slightly wide for LF operation + requires
a linear PA, but I believe it would be interesting to check it's
performance on LF. Maybe it would be worth to re-work this into a slower
and more robust version usable on LF. As it's MFSK, it would be possible
to omit the linear PA requirement.
