Thanks Wolf.

You did better than Google's translation tool!

Hi Dave and group,

The document is at

http://www.darc.de/aktuell/voinfo/vor151004.html

Well, is it already in force ? The passage ...

[..] Die neuen im wesentlichen für die Funkamateure vorteilhaften Bestimmungen sollen noch in die neue Amateurfunkverordnung, insbesondere die Anlage 1, eingearbeitet werden. [..]

Crude translation:

(the new, mostly positive regulations for radio amateurs shall be
implemented in the new ham radio regulation, especially appendix 1, [..] )

Well, sounds a bit like "yet to come", but read on..

Die Frequenzbereichszuweisungsplanverordnung auf der Grundlage des TKG ist am 7. Oktober 2004 in Kraft getreten. Sie enthält Verbesserungen für die Funkamateure, wie beispielsweise [...] Leistung von 1 W ERP im Bereich 135,7 bis 137,8 kHz (LW)

Sounds better, like the good news about LF are in force already. My attempt
to translate the above, keeping the 40-letter word in its entire uncensored
prettiness :

The frequency-range-assignment-plan-regulation based on the
telecommunication law has come into power on October 7th, 2004. I It
contains improvements for radio amateurs, for example [...] 1 W ERP in the
range 135.7 to 137.8 kHz.

The "most significant hyhen" is usually the one before the last word, here
between plan and regulation. Read the thing from left to right - it's
primarily a "regulation". What it regulates is a "plan", the plan is the
assignment of a range of frequencies.
Phew - can simple things be put in such complicated word in other languages
too ? Someone please put me right if this is totally wrong (blame it on the
red wine) - Walter DJ2LF still on the reflector ?

Best regards,
Wolf DL4YHF.
