Dear LF Group, Jim Moritz said: Here are screen shots of "XES" at around 0500utc, and VO1NA around 0520utc. Conditions faded out rapidly after this. The attached shows VO1NA signing with Jim and then switching to QRSS3. The receiver setup at M0BMU appears considerably better than at G3LDO! You need a lot of imagination to see XES in my screen shots. My TS-850 has died and is being fixed and I am using an IC-706 mk1. This receiver is a bit deaf on this band but should be adequate with a large antenna. It is all a matter of signals to noise and the noise level is a bit high here. Loran from Lessay is very strong and that is why I like QRSS to look between the Loran lines. Does anyone think that the Loran signals raises the general noise floor (between the lines)?
