Hi Jim and the Group. Yes the conditions have deteriorated slightly. The Kp index rose to 4 late on Saturday, and 5 early today. I think this is ejecta from the C-Class flares a few days ago. Strangely the Dst index "rose" in advance though not by an amount I thought significant...it went from -1 to -14 on the 26th. Life will get a bit more difficuly for me now, as Kyoto Univ have removed their Dst estimates from general view today....hopefully it is only temporary. Cheers de Alan G3NYK [email protected] ----- Original Message ----- From: "James Moritz" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: 28 March 2004 12:12 Subject: LF: Re: Poor condx Dear LF Group, Conditions after dark here were poor, with high levels of QRN during darkness hours. Some copy of VO1NA at QRSS10 speed was seen around 2300, but otherwise only faint traces of signal were seen during the night. Cheers, Jim Moritz 73 de M0BMU |
