Hi Andy thanks for the transmission. I could not believe my eyes at first. I
did not see you at all on Spectran at the lowest resolution. I normally run
this as a receiving aid. It allows me to use a 2.1 kHz filter and quickly
drop an audio filter in if I see a signal, without going into anothe rroom
to switch them on the receiver. The noise was quite high and I have heard
thunder in the distance. So at 2020 I decided to receive 'blind'. Having
got a BC on the native decoder I changed over the the new decoder, and after
a few lower case x's sensible letters started to appear. From memory a
sequence like following.......
. xx
.xxx
.4xxx
.4JNx J@x
.4JNT JASxx
etc.
I will send the screen shot direct. In the middle of this I suffered a very
heavy downpour as well. I presume you shut down at about 1936z, I copied
"BYE" and then the noise seemed to come up in the decode window. After 3x's
the decoder stopped guessing.
Altogether quite impressive !! That is is the first time I have able to
copy a weak signal on Jason. Jim is usually a rock-crusher here when he is
running.

Thanks and Cheers de Alan G3NYK
