I'll carry on with the Jason test transmissions tonight. Generally the Tx
is turned on when I get home, around 1600z and turned off at 2230z - so may
as well continue with that. Having seen Alan's sceen dump of last night's
reception it looks to have about 50% character error rate, which corresponds
roughly to a 10% bit error rate - not bad for 212km with 4 Watts of RF and a
tiny antenna !

Nothing seen on 7000.003kHz so far........

If anyone wants to try something slightly different again, there is a SLOWCW
beacon using 1 second dot Frequency Shift Keying (20 Hz shift) on 70.0297
MHz signing G4JNT/P from locator IO80UU in Dorset. Spectrogram on its
narrowest setting is ideal for monitoring this. The frequency varies a few
tens, even 100 - 150 Hz over temperature as it uses an unovenned crystal so
you may be forced to tune around a bit in particularly hot or cold weather.
This beacon transmits telemetry for the GB3SC# set of microwave beacons on
2.3 to 24GHz, indicating mains voltage and current, DC supply voltage, shack
temperature and two switch parameters. It runs 0.5 W to a dipole from the
hilltop site.
