Hi, Rik and Group.

So far I haven' found any formula for rectangular loops, unfortunately this
is the most common shape for big transmitting loops.

I have derived the formula for rectangular loop. It is:

L = 0,2*{ 12,6*(a+b) + 4*c + a*ln[ ( a^2*(c-a) ) / ( d^2*(c+a) ) ] +
b*ln[ ( b^2*(c-b) ) / ( d^2*(c+b) ) ] }

where a,b - rectangular dimensions in meters,
     d - wire diameter in millimeters,
     c = SQRT(a^2 + b^2) - rectengular diagonal,
     SQRT denote square root,
     L - loop inductance in microhenry,
     ln - natural logoritm.

The formula seems to be adequate for ANY dimensions of rectangular while
a,b >> d (here a,b,d are in the same dimensions).

I do NOT test the formula by comparision to experimental data. I derived
it very atantionly but deriviations was too long! So mistake may be ;-(
But if a=b the formula changes to formula you send before... This is litle
test. Please test my formula by comparision to experiment! And use it
then.

If formula is adequate or not to experiment let me know...
