Although I have not seen a report from PA0SE, Dick must have been very
pleased with the result of his plea for more activity at the weekend.
I heard 19 different stations in 7 countries, worked four (including a new
one and my best ever report from DL), and still found time to go on
73kHz. In addition I received some Morse characters from VA3LK
during the night.
Sat 27 January
Heard CW from G3YXM (5 9+10 9); PA0SE (569); DJ8WX (439);
G3BDQ (599); G3XTZ (5 9+10 9); GW4HXO (579); ON6ND ( an
excellent 599); G3OLB (599); G6RO (579); G3LDO (5 9+10 9); EI0CF
(569); F6BWO (439) and GW4ALG (579).
Worked G4CNN (589); DF0WD (gave 549, got 579).
Listened for G0AKY on 73kHz, but nothing heard. Beaconed on
72.650kHz from 1000-1200UTC.
Sun 28 January
In addition to yesterday's stations, heard DJ5DI (539); DJ9IE (579).
OE5ODL was being worked by DL and PA stations but I could not hear
him.
Worked PA0BWL (579) and a new one for me G0VXG (he was 339-
549), Richard is in Telford.
On 73kHz, I heard QSOs between M0BMU (Herts) and G3KMP and
G0AKY (both E Sussex). Congratulations, lads. Although Jim was giving
them 559, I could barely hear them but could see very clear signals on
Argo. Beaconed from 10 to 12UTC.
Let's hope the activity stays up. I will make a point of making some QSOs.
