Hi Mal, Not sure about smoke signals but I do not think so, they were probably faster than slow morse. Haha! Well, I think you are wrong. G3YXM's recent experiments with a parallel RF/smoke transmitter shows clearly that the smoke TX is much slower. In fact, the RF QRSS QSO was finished long before anyone even noticed any smoke coming from the smoke stage of the TX system. 73 Johan SM6LKM |
