HI All
It is encouraging to see some getting OFF the fence and expressing an
opinion about the recent activities on 136 transatlantic. It is obvious
that they are not convinced that a proper qso has taken place, in spite
of what some say.
I like to see the enthusasism, excitement and effort that is going on
trying to achieve a FIRST across the pond but we do not want a sham. Let
us follow proper established qso practices.
EME (TMO) for the slow morse brigade and HF/VHF (RST) for normal cw and
full callsigns exchanged at the time of contact. The qso must take place
at one continuous session preferably minutes but might be prolonged
because of propogation conditions to a few hours but certainly not days
and weeks.
All LF operators are putting in a lot of effort in one way or another
and it would be unfair to single out any one individual, they are all
unique in their own way and there is also the chance element, the right
place at the right time!!!!!!1
Bearing in mind the above criteria, good luck to those that make it
across.
