Hi all,
When I opened this with OE5.5 it automatically took me to a web site - not
very clever, but no virus indications or ActiveX warnings. Also no apparent
damage to Netscape installed on same machine but inactive at the time.
All manner of ills seem able to lurk within html messages - is there a case
for the reflector to filter these out and only forward plain text messages?
Anyone wanting to make available info only transmissible by html could post
a notification of URL where it could be downloaded, or offer to send it
individually to those requiring it (as is done already by our notable and
well-mannered contributors with large files to pass on).
This may seem a bit draconian, but I speak as someone who appreciates how
easy it is for things to go awry - it took me three months and a note from
G3YMC to discover that OE5.* defaults to html !
