Hi Marco, I could detect your carrier until about 1100z to 1130z
(Uncertainty due to DIY qrm.) Then no further definite signal until about
1930z when elements of the DFCW appeared for a few minutes (dusk here) The
signals then faded and the static started to increase by 2130z distict
characters can be seen but no way could you read a full call-sign yet. Some
of this may be due to much higher static that earlier this week. An
interesting point was that it seemed here as thouh your dot freqquency was
about 0.2Hz lower when the DFCW appeared than the last seen steady carrier
at 1130z. I do not think this is drift at my end as I was running a cal
signal which did not move (I have measure this before and found it stable to
0.1Hz ,which is my measurement accuracy, without going really clever.)
This has been an interesting test. I make the distance just under 900kms to
my location, and I understand todays power was about 10mW ERP. I am sure
some averaging would pull a cleaner signal out of the mush ....there is
plenty of time for that with 40 sec dots.
Thanks for the chance to experiment and really use Spectran for digging down
into the noise on a 'real' weak signal.
