On my VLF stream server I'm using the following pipeline to extract Joe's signal and mix down to baseband I/Q: vtread -T2017-12-21_21:00,+32700 /raw1/vlf38 | vtfilter -h bp,f=8270,w=3000 | vtblank -a
Hi Paul, Joe, VLF, Wow, my congrats to Joe and Wolf and Jacek! That was to be expected :-) A remarkable success! If Jacek decode Joe with +1 dB, then Alex has a chance too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So it is
Joe confirms the correct message was received at Todmorden, Bielefeld, and Warsaw. I great result for a night's transmission and two new firsts. -- Paul Nicholson --
Hopefully Joe will repeat the same message tonight, with the same phase. The path to Alex is promising and could well produce a decode with one or two repeats. Cumiana is back in operation without an
Hi Paul and all, Thanks for all effort put into this, and nice to hear about the TA reception via my remote receiver at DF0WD. Paul asked: Wolf's receiver has been working very well the last few days

Spec Lab and EnNaut are where the real effort went; I just tinkered with hardware! Thanks to you both and to to all who worked hard to set up and opereate the RX stations and sent reports today: Ricc
Thank-you for the summary. It's interesting that the signals appear to avoid the west. Is it ansiotropy in the radiation pattern or propagation? 73 Joe VO1NA 2100 utc tonight [21st], 16K21A, CRC-8, o
I'll have to work out the geomagnetic coordinates of your path to Forest. The change of phase at Forest is hard to explain. About a 78 degree shift. Prevents stacking the two nights to get a decode.
Hello Joe, Very impressive! My congrats. You will now quickly see that the limiting factor is the number of active stations on VLF. But never mind, we can make a big party on that playground now :-)
Hi Markus, Yes, LF and VLF at the same time. The 2200m tuning coil was getting in the way in the shack so it was returned to the base of the tower where it belongs. It is good to see the nice blue co

A great result from Alex there. No doubt about it with rank 0 and Eb/N0 +5.37 dB. First VLF message Canada to Russia, a distance of 5810.5 km. A growing pile of VLF 'firsts' for VO1NA too. Canada to
I can imagine your frustration. I've examined the software at Forest and all appears to be working fine, at least as well as my own. Occasional timing breaks when the sound card has an overrun or DMA
