Hi Mal, The whole point of this design is that the output impedance is 50 ohm, therefore there is no need for impedance transformation! Try calculating the values for a 100 V, 100 W Class-E transmitt

Dimitris Your 'scope shot of the signal after the low pass filter shows a Voltage spike which should not be there for a class E amplifier. This needs to be smoothed out otherwise you wil eventually Z

Pete I have built and used class E amps for years and have always succeeded in getting a rounded off trailing edge presentation on the scope. If the amp is aligned properly as per Sokai instructions

For those not familiar with Class-E, I can control the power output of a transmitter by the Vcc I use. The power output is proportional to the square of the voltage, so by reducing the voltage by SQ

Dimitris I do not understand how you have arrived at a 50ohm load output without a matching transformer after the Tank circuit. The Fet Impedence is around 7 ohms and needs to be transformed to 50 oh
