Oh my bad. I know Amtor is fsk, but thought that ros-mf is non-lineair like PSK31. Learning all the time. Is the protocoll open-source so I can understand it and program it in my PIC? I know, I know.

I had the same problem initially the first character of every transmission would be garbled. In my case this was because after starting the transmitter (with a mark) the first character was immediate

Hmm might this be because in the old days (amateur) RTTY was done with the rig in LSB mode using AFSK? With mark at 2125 Hz and space at 2295 hz and mark being the idling position, when using LSB the
