I tried some expeiments with measuring loop antennas at LF and MF a while back - changing the height above ground from 0 - 10m made virtually no difference. The only thing that made a lot of differen

Yes, I use one all the time. The problem is usually the receiver, the Wellbrook will easily overload even the best receivers with broadcast signals as most don't have any front-end selectivity below

I've got a ALA 1530 Wellbrook Loop, is anyone using one of these for 500kHz monitoring?, although I can hear NDB's nothing on 500kHz. Tim M0AFJ
