I found some interesting documents concerning FS measurements on 300 kHz at the website of ITS, Boulder, Colorado (Institute for Telecommunications Sciences). http://www.its.bldrdoc.gov/pub/dgps98/ h
While browsing around the net I found the following documents which might be of interest. "Technique for building and calibrating VLF/LF receive loop antennas" http://www.nosc.mil/sti/publications/bi
With the risk of being tedious I just want to inform that I made some more FS measurements Saturday morning. I have replaced the untuned loop with a tuned ferrite antenna + FET preamp. The new meter
Hello LF group, I just want to share my last findings in the chase of "the missing dB's". Yesterday I changed the antenna ground plane and added 10x6 m chicken wire around the antenna base plus 12 ra
I haven't heard anyone working LA yet ...are the boys playing 'hard-to-get'? I heard LA1K last thursday (000330) at 20.30z and called him a few times with no success. Maybe there is some receiving di
G3LDO: I have just checked 137kHz and CFH was inaudible and only just detectable with Spectran.(It was S9 +20dB when the AMRAD group were at Nags Head). Here, CFH was S5-S6 on the meter for several h
Hello LF-group, Interesting with this experiment. I just wonder how the efficiency of the used antenna is calculated (or perhaps measured). My calculations for a 100 m vertical _without_ toploading g
Could you post a brief text summary of your design? 73, Bob ZL2CA PA0LQ filter descriptions: http://www.alg.demon.co.uk/radio/136/af_filter.htm http://home5.swipnet.se/~w-54761/pa0lq_filter.htm 73 Ch
Was there any acticity from the spark tx last weekend? I listened Sunday evening but realised that the transmission probably took place on Saturday... /Christer sm6pxj
I worked Jim straight after you and found exactly the opposite..... 4dB better on the "small" antenna. Same thing here. Small antenna 3 dB better. /Christer sm6pxj
From Dave G3YMC 2. It has for a long time been the custom to use relatively slow speeds for conventional CW on 136, in the belief that this is better when signals are weak. I would question the wisdo
Hello all, I read in the general summary in the SM7CMY report: "It was found that: - The ability to recognize telegraphy masked by noise decreases with increasing telegraphy speed; - A low frequency
The transmitter will go on air at 8.30 and 8.45am. 0.30 and 0.45pm (GMT) According to the Swedish text the times are: 8.30, 8.45, 12.30 and 12.45 am (GMT) Probably some language confusion is involved
"According to the Swedish text the times are: 8.30, 8.45, 12.30 and 12.45 am (GMT)" Sorry, that didn't make much sense either ;-) Too fast hitting the send button. Now, another try: 8.30, 8.45 am. 12

On Saturday evening (I don't remember the exact time) I received a transmission centered on 136.152 with approx. 30 Hz BW. Who was it? http://home5.swipnet.se/~w-54761/unid1.gif With the image rotate
Would it be very complicated to make some sort of archive of this list? That would be great when searching for older messages. The information is just too valuable to not be stored anywhere. Other se
Good copy 549 from F6BWO calling CQ underneath SM6PXJ and ON6ND 10.45 Saturday morning. Sorry if I caused unintentional QRM this morning. Heard other stations working F6BWO afterwards be he was not d
I have the pleasure of reporting that SM3UWS, Wolfgang in Soederhamn now is QRV on 136. We worked on Dec 14 with 559 in both directions. The antenna is a 25 m sloping wire with 3x15 m top load. Anten
