Hi All, I am very interested in Riks proposal and look foreward to the formulation of a code. Meanwhile I am going to modify my DFCW generator to include a vari-cap diode to shift the frequency. I wi
Thanks Dex and John for the reports. Dex said "You dont seem to get more than one spectacular night at a time" but I should like to add, that night seems to be almost one Solar rotation after the pre
Many thanks Dex and John for last nights report, looks like enhancement before the arrival of a big disturbance! Re my dot frequency instability I have been looking at this (odd signal for the last ho
Hi All, Alan recons that we are in a stable period for a few days and as this ties up with my own observations, I will resume the beacon for the next few days from tonight. DFCW120 Freq 72,401.2/3Hz.
John and Dex, Many thanks for the reports,I think conditions are a bit static at the moment so I won't transmit tonight (could do with the sleep). I will advise when things look better. 73s Laurie.
Many thanks for the reports on my 73kHz beacon ,at least I have confirmed my frequency, and the pics from Ko make the DFCW look very good. I will transmit again tonight,in an attempt to understand the
Hi John and Dex, Many thanks for the pics. John I am pretty convinced about the A, both in terms of the element length and the freq shift, the Q is more difficult however, there is a bit of the follo
Hi All, I ran the beacon last night from 2300 till about 0700, there was an early report from John so at least there was some propagation. And importantly John confirmed my frequency as 72.401.3 whic
Glad to hear that condx are picking up. I am out tonight until 2300 visiting my son with my computer. Argo / Sound card have packed up working. Hopefully he will be able to sort out the problem which
Further to Riks proposals yesterday re DFCW, I should like to see more use of this mode. Also I am sure that there is more that could be done to improve both the speed of transmission and S/N ratio.
Hi John, and John Thanks for looking last night. I think I will give it a rest tonight and wait till Jim has fixed his antenna and Peter sorted out the problem with his Decca. 73s Laurie.
First ,belated congratulations to Dex for his reception of ZL6QH what an achievement! Thanks to Ko for the pics and measurments, and Jim for the F/S calculations, although lower than I thought we are
Hi All, I have been off the reflector because I caught the dreaded virus ! It slipped past Norton and I did'nt open any attachments. Clever that one. Appologies to anyone expecting mail from me, all
