Hi Stefan, MF,

the grabber resurrects after the winter rest ;-) compliments for good performance.
I'm still running 24/24 WSPR beacon on MF since almost 3 months without interruptions (only exception sometime the windows 10 strike ;-) ) it is a relative low power beacon that anyway was heard sometime beyond the pond but since about a week I had no reports neither from TF3GZ nor from W or VE station.. last night also the reports from EA8 were missing...
It is hard to state if it is due to propagation, environment (my location is close to Alps and I remember troubles both TX and RX on 160m ) or maybe speaking of SNR the noise level is higher than one week ago making my sigs not decodable..
Anyway it is fun keep such a beacon in function and see what happens

MF,

Since yesterday, there is some sun in Heidelberg and my tree grabber came back. MF reception is possible again (the VLF E field still has a problem).

Last night i got my best RX distance on MF ever (i think):

Timestamp Call MHz SNR Drift Grid Pwr Reporter RGrid km az
 2019-02-05 06:12   WA4SZE   0.475703   -29   0   EM65   0.2   DK7FC/P   JN49ik   7470   45

The band still seems to be open for DX.

73, Stefan
