It is of course ridiculous that you have been prevented from
carrying on as we all know there is no risk. What a shame.

I came into the game somewhat late, less than a year before the band
was opened for amateur use. My interest developed suddenly, so I was
not well informed regarding previous accomplishments on the band. As
a newcomer I have been consistently surprised by what is possible.

My loss resistance is high thanks, I suppose, to New England soil
and perhaps the many trees around the vertical. Fortunately I can
still easily reach 1 watt EIRP as long as I can afford to pay my
electric bill! This new amplifier is loafing at that level. That
will be a good thing when I crank up the duty cycle for WSPR-15,
DFCW and who knows what else.

I am going to do my best to make more 2-way trans-Atlantic QSOs this
winter. I hope there will be a few more stations ready on the
European side.
