Hi Chris,

A common ground between TX antennas should be fine. The long wire is
probably OK on there too, but there are so many permutations and
possibilities I will add that in *some* cases it *might* cause more
transmitted RF to find its way to the receiver. It shouldn't and
probably won't, but as they say "anything is possible".

For directional RX antennas (Beverage, EWE, K9AY loop, etc.) I would
not tie into my TX antenna ground as that could very well upset the
noise-reducing characteristics of the RX antenna.

I've built a new LNV base today. I'm now working on extending and
re-routing the twisted pair feeder. I hope to have it operational by
tonight, but I don't guarantee it. ;-)
