Congrats to Rob for the good start! A good challenge for us here in EU.

Unfortunately i forgot to set up the SL instance on the other frequency, so i can not look for decodes. Also my PC suffers from much more soundcard glitches sincei installed windows updates some months ago. Will remove them again!
My LF RX is still running on the old-fashioned method using a GPS locked 10 kHz ref signal to correct the soundcard drift, so it is not immune against soundcard glitches. Need to update that hardware to use 1PPS+NMEA instead.
In a few days i'm ready...

I bet that Markus and Domenico will decode the message...

Hi Rob,

congratulations to Jay and you for the successful experiment!

I've started another SpecLab instance which is monitoring your frequency. Best chances to Eu are probably between 1 and 5 UT. Hope you'll be able to run max power soon - every little dB will be needed!

Good luck,
Markus (DF6NM)

Jay,

Thanks for confirming that my current setup is actually getting out with a message that can be decoded! I’ll continue transmitting this message over the weekend to test out everything in the tx chain. Have reduced output power by 3 dB while looking for any hot spots that may develop with the 100% duty cycle.
