Perhaps too high a freq for this group, but whatever ... Topband used to be called "LF"
As some discussions here a few months ago suggested, propagation to VK on 160m may be good at this time of year (I'm only quoting what someone posted, dunno these propagation things myself :-) So I've been WSPRIng the last couple of days. The Antarctica station DP0GVN turned out to be a doddle; copied me many times at a distance of 13Mm - in fact on most transmissions for several hours. But was delighted to see last night, that my WSPR signal made it to VK3JJ - just the once. The only other station from Eu that was copied being G3ZJG the day before. These are the best Dx uniques . There's an extraordinary gap between 8000km and 13000km.
