Yesterday I found this Russian message on my grabber, commemorating the 74th anniversary of the end of the siege of Leningrad. 

Looking up the background in Wikipedia was kind of a shock: between 1942 and 1944, an estimated 1.1 Million people were intentionally killed by starvation and deprivation. What an ugly crime! Knowing that it had been planned and committed by people from my country, even from the city where I live, made me feel humble and ashamed.
