The other thing about writing articles is I don't know anything
about Spectrum Lab or Windows. It all seems to me quite complicated
compared to Linux.

Yes, Jacek has done some excellent posts on his web site explaining
how to use vlfrx-tools. Mike Smith at Forest has some too.

Really, there is so much to write, it could almost make a book.
A chapter on E-field receivers, another for loop receivers.
One for timing system, another for calibration, and one or two
chapters for signal analysis and message decoding. And that's
just for receiving.

My boss occasionally wonders the same!

Ah, getting on a bit now, 58. But I can still run up mountains.

Now I have 80 minutes to do a little work on radio things
before I am out on the hill for some training (the weather
is suitably foul of course). Then finally, after an 05:00
start, some sleep! That's if the power doesn't fail, very
windy here and the lights are flickering. My VLF computers
haven't had a reboot for 477 days - everything 'should'
restart by itself, but I would have to get up to check.
