Carrier was again on overnight but at reduced power. Last evening when I increased the antenna current to more than about 700 ma I noticed high level broad band RF noise across the whole RF spectrum. My APRS weather station indicates the relative humidity hit a low of 27% last evening so I suspect there was corona on some part of the antenna.
No problem running at a bit over 1 amp antenna current this morning. I let it run overnight at about 600 ma and see that the carrier still made a showing on Paul's amazing spectrogram. Dex |
