Gentlemen -

This may be a matter of trivial import but it's been troubling me for a while now so if someone can settle the question, it would make me - and possibly others - happy.

Why do we call the Russian setup ZEVS?

When was the name first used?

Is there an actual official (or as near official as we can get)  Russian confirmation of this name?

Is the name in fact Zeus and we've lost something in the transliteration?

Anyone know anything?

Martin  GW3UCJ  Swansea.

The ZEVS carrier seems to be still on.
