Pity ! Could not receive anybody here. And conditions were not bad at all. I was spotting LA2XPA in WPSR at that time

 

I have been monitoring JT9 for some time now and can recall receiving you and other stations

Unfortunately Eric, ON5TA, got a problem in his PA and is QRP now

 

Anyway the downconverter is online and if there is any other chance we can try QSO

Hi Luis,

you were also called by DG3LV and ON5TA.

Your signal was audible most of the time, would have been OK in CW.

At the moment I am using a temporary antenna, only 8m high, and about 100W output. 1.5A antenna current and an estimated 400mW EIRP.

One of the next weeks I hope to put up an improved antenna with multiple topload wires at 12m height and 300W output, that should increase my ERP by about 8dB.

Hi MF

 

Too late for the party, but finally could get the time to finish the downconverter to MF

and tested it briefily last night

 

Mix the FT817 signal on 27.474 with a 27MHz GPSDO referenced LO. The output of the mixer

is buffered by a BS170 gate polarized at 2V5. Then I use a LPF by QRP Labs and drive my PA

I do only need Tx as my Rx is in another QTH were I have the grabber running and also a JT9 instance 

 

Will be active testing it tonight. Any takers ?
