Hi Stefan,

the coordinates of the VLF loop (my house) are 41.532045, 12.889109.

Aah, my converter programs says it is JN61KM67RR, so http://no.nonsense.ee/qth/map.html?qth=JN61KM67RR
I can see the solar modules of your neighbour! :-)
But that sort of QRM that you have near 8270 Hz looks rather like coming from your own PC, i would guess.

I'm in a rural place, a dried up ancient swamp (some places are under the see level), but surrounded by some little houses with solar panels, LED lights... and other electronic wizardry that cyclically buzzing in my grabber :(
I'm still looking for a paceful place not so far from my house so to reach it by 5Ghz LAN but it's not simple to locate a remote station in any place. This could give me the possibility to transmit in MF and LF without strong interferences to continuous VLF reception.
A good place could be up the near hills or in the middle of a country field.
Like that hill: http://no.nonsense.ee/qth/map.html?qth=JN61LN86UP&from=JN61KM67RR
:-)
Cool! I liked the experimenting with the GHz links. It works much better than expected, but we're getting OT.
The harder the region can be reached, the saver your equipment is...

Rick IW4DXW is winding... winding... winding... HI, so I wait for his or Domenico's signals asap.

Thanks for your hints on how to improve my VLF equipment!

Hi Max,

What's the exact locator? Would be interesting to have a look on. Is there a realistic chance to build up an alternative RX site where you can stream the data to your home PC?

I'm looking forward to your improvements. It is also a good sign for IW4DXW and IZ7SLZ, if they want to come on the air on VLF, because now they know that everything is actually running on your side! :-)

Hi Stefan and VLF

thanks for your long transmission.

Loop is correctly oriented towards you, though a moderade wind moved my loop during sunday slightly bending the vertical axis.

The big problem here is the neighbour noise :(  I've in the list of things to do other improvements, first of all to change the ferrite for the loop trafo. But the best upgrade would be to move my RX station away from here. However, the promises are very good.

Now my grabbers are in st-by and I hope to end the new trafo for tomorrow so to try to receive some EbNaut VLF transmission soon, too.

Thank you very much!

Hi Max,

I also think that this weak trace is a detection of my signal. I already saw a suspicious peak from the day before, but that was too short in 47 uHz, thus i decided to transmit for a longer time :-)
So, congrats to your first signal reception on VLF :-) 940 km, not bad!!

You are already quite in the south so you may have more QRN. Anyway i would expect the signal could be a few dB stronger. Maybe there is some lack of sensitivity somewhere in the system? From your settings in SL it all looks fine :-)
Is the orientation of the loop correct?

Stefan

GM dear friends,
on my grabber there is a peak exactly on Stefan transmission freq.:

Do you think this could be a real one? Is the stronger signal all over the band.
The distance is about 940 Km not bad really! WOW!

...since 13:38 a carrier is running again, this time it is planned to
run it until 07:30 UTC, trying to leave a clear trace at IK0VVE,
