They are not much good above audio frequencies and the turns ratio is
not convenient either. I should accept them and sell them on to
enthusiastic builders. I'd quite like, say, a 500VA 40+40V toroidal for
which I'd happily pay!
Hugh 02 October 2015A business I have some dealing with are about to weigh in quite a few small, medium and large mains toroidal transformers. Do the cores of mains transformers have any useful re-purposing ability at LF? Thanks, a Google search didn't, surprisingly, find any info on other uses for old cores. |
