During the night August 6/7, the Loran signal from Wildwood (GRI 8970 M and S) was received again in Nuernberg / Germany. Using five minute averaging, SNR was up to about 28 dB (power added sum of all skywave components, see attached plot). No trace was found on GRI 9960.

What may be much more impressive is that Edgar J. Twining in Moonah / Tasmania (16472 km) also managed to pick up the signal. Unambiguous traces appeared in the master and secondary slots, reaching about 3 dB SNR during the short period of common darkness around 8 UT. They are still visible on Edgar's temporary Loran grabber https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/101251787/Loran%20C/LoranView.htm .

All the best,
Markus (DF6NM)

Thanks to Steve and Stan for kindly passing on this information. I have reactivated the two slots for Wildwood, and added a new one for Dana to the right side of my Loran-C monitor:

I'm looking forward to see some stateside signals again!

Best wishes,
Markus (DF6NM)
