Hi all,

Yesterday the conds on MF were very good, low QRN levels and good propagation. On my remote grabber i'm running a slow scrolling spectrogram showing the whole 630m band over the last 20 hours. For example, see this image: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/19882028/MF/MFwideslow20JUL2015.jpg Comparing WSPR reports to other RX stations (including my own, in the city), it appears that this site performs very well! However, there is still a lot of man made noise visible day and night. Some QRM traces are stable all the time, others just appear when the band opens. In the spectrogram one can see when the band opens and closes. Currently this is arround 18:30...04:00 UTC. And, it appears that the background noise at night is at the same level as in daylight, at least when QRN levels are low.

Does this look about similar on your side? And does it mean there is still much room for system improvements by choosing a different location??

73, Stefan
