Amplified   pre  selector  and  one of the  £5  usb  stick's  in direct sample ,  ala   0.001 uF  to  the  A/D ..Can pay £$£ more ,  but  these  take a  lot  of  beating ..

Amp  gain , say   10 dB  , output   Z  round  200  ohms

sdr-sharp  gives  full  access  to the  dongle   manual  gain and   agc  etc

Even  no  pre-amp  , looking  at the   Tx tuner ,  puts  up a good  job

Simons  multi  session  sdr-console ,   gives   true multi  mode  , multi  qrg  monitoring , but may need  a  convertor

Put any  cash out lay  into  the   pre selector  and  pre-amp  ..

No, a completely different approach.  For one thing teh LO has to be supplied at 4*

Someone must do an LF version of the Softrock - surely

I  think  they  also  do  an  IQ  version, not sure if it's currently
available.  I  don't  suppose  the  other  IC  is a direct swap is it?
Thanks.
