Hi Stefan !

Your CW-QSO at DR800BI with DJ6CB was decoded here partly. There was no sign of DJ6CB on the waterfall, but your signal had good strength at abt 20dB above noise on 472.078 kHz. As I have read, this was not a kite antenna, but the standard antenna of DF5QG. So I'm looking forward for the tests you will probably do on monday (after breakfast).

'would be nice to receive any time-schedule in (short) advance via this reflector.

(Beeing at the "Teutoburger Wald" region you should try some local specialities like "Lippesche Leberwurst" or "Lippscher Pickert").

Hello Tobias, LF/MF,

No, so far there were no kite transmissions today from here. I am here
visiting DF5QG in JO42FI, we rose the kite for a short time. The wind is
unstable but there are no thunderstorms and it is dry. Wind becomes
better now and we want to try it soon again. So maybe we will be there
on MF later in the evening.

Hi Stefan !

Maybe these were signals from your tests ? :
20.07.2014 (UTC)
12:42-44h on 472.8kHz intermittend carrier
12:48h RTTY? on 477.3kHz
12:52-13:00h 472.8kHz big carrier

lots of QRN !

Hi all,

I'm in holidays for another 4 weeks now. This coming *sunday, 20th*, i'm
planning to visit DF5QG in JO42.

We intend to play arround with a kite antenna which will be about 100m
high. The ground losses are quite low and maybe we can try to build a
Lambda/4 vertical for 630m, which should have about 50 Ohm feed point
impedance then.

With some power we should be able to reach the magical 1 W ERP limit.
Maybe someone out there will hear us. The antenna currents will be
relatively low though, due to the high radiation resistance on MF...

We also want to try 137 kHz later. It all depends on the WX, as usual.
I'm on a tour through Germany, more than 1500km, so i cannot carry my
VLF coil all the time, thus no VLF transmissions in this experiment.

If someone is interested in skeds in CW on LF or MF or anything else,
just tell us your ideas :-)
