interesting project.
Product also is available via www.reichelt.de Their price isn't lowest, but a least they are providing a little bit more on technical informations:

Interesting detail ist:
Range ( Receiver )   :   10m
Range ( transmitter ) :  100m

Another solution could be Bluettoth modules from www.kcwirefee.com
E.g. there is type "KC-5012"  with up to 18dbm output power
