   I could crank down the power very easily but I'm not sure what the 'safe' level is under wet condx, also I hate being PW.

BTW, I have made good progress on the 1700-1800 kHz license, I got the FAA to grant a release of the lower part (1700-1750) which is allocated to them.  We are going to have Jerry, Joe Fell, you and me on the ticket with 5kW so we can let the broadcast transmitters rip without being shy about it !

I don't blame you.  I just run the power down a few hundred watts to 600-700 W when there is heavy rain or ice-if the ant will load.  Otherwise I just run a KW.   I have cranked it to a KW and a half or so and when I open the door to check or shut down there is usually the smell of ozone!  Not worth burning this place down for a lousey DB or 2-Bob

     Stormy WX here tonight, I might chicken out unless the weather clears. 

Just fixed a transformer that flashed over, don't want to risk running in wet weather which always increases corona etc!
