Hi Steinar,Making some progress, but still trying to find out why Rik's recording of my signal didn't decode on his PC, and doesn't decode when played back (via VLC player) on my machine, but decodes without any problems on Con's (ZL2AFP's) machine. All using the original program, but the modified version behaves the same way. I am now adding an option to decode WSQ directly from a wave file (without using a media player), which may be helpful later. Also, there will be the possibility to record the received audio in a wave file (directly in the WSQ program), also for the purpose of debugging. Quite likely, the problem will boil down to the soundcard's sampling rate, which is 32000 S/seconds in WSQ. 73, Wolf DL4YHF .
