Hi Warren the only article I remember was in
Electronics World (the latter-day Wireless World) by a couple of Italian
authors, and It covered air loops as well and more likely used DCF39 on
138.83kHz??
it measured loops on various bundles of
ferrite.

I have been searching for an article posted a few years ago
concerning receiving loops with a title like "Calibrating Receiving Loops
Using DFC77" - as I recall the main thrust of the article is that there is an
asymptotic limit to the sensitivity of ferriite loops as you increase the
size, and that limit is soon reached. Can anyone point me to a
copy?
(Searching for the article is what prompted
me to check the Yahoo group).
