TNX Marcus for the info and OPDS !
I believe OPDS has increased the interest to OP

How are things to WSPRDS?

First of all, congratulations to Garry and Stefan! I'm really glad to see that happen.

Alex, I have also been pondering some kind of central archive of opds detections. My idea was to leave everything as is for the receivers, ie they can upload their detections to Dropbox or their own FTP site, and announce these if they want to. Then someone (me?) would automatically collect the text files from the known sites, using httpget or similar. On each file, some script would append receiver callsigns and speed, and cut off entries older than say 24 h. Then merge all files to one, sort lines by timestamps, and upload the joined results. However I won't be able to create a semi-professional searchable database like WSPR or PSKreporter.

Birth of opds? Well opds is not a mode in itself, so I'd better pass the question regarding Opera's birthday on to Graham G0NBD ;-) For me, the decisive event was the successful correlation detection of the WD2XES Opera-32 signal on Aug 27 2012. VO1NA and UA4WPF followed a few days later. Opds "as is" probably became a usable tool only in March 2013, when the project took a big step ahead during a fruitful collaboration with Chris 4X1RF.

Hi Alex, Markus, LF,

I already asked Garry if it is possible for him to install a dropbox and OPDS results file like the others but he doesn't like the idea, somehow.

Markus, i agree with Alex, it would be helpful and more comfortable to see the callsign of the RX station and maybe both locators in the detection row, like in WSPR.

Stefan,
you sent this msg to 1540 (I received msg from blacksheep in 1544)
I sent my "Best..." to 1542 and received msg in 1551 without an absolutely Best report by Garry K3SIW ;-(
CONGRATS Garry and Stefan !

Marcus,
maybe create a common OPDS database (URL) in this format:
2013-12-07 05:10 DK7FC   7041km 137572.914Hz   3mHz -42.2dBOp  65% 17.3dB  K3SIW  32
+ manual uploading to this URL and ++(?)

What's the date of birth of the OPDS?

Hi all,

There must have been good condx last night. Apart from the usual ufb
reception by W1VD i got OPDS reports from K3SIW, email attached. This
may be interesting for DF2JP too!
I also saw a trace at YV7MAE on the right frequency but no OPDS decode
(yet! :-) ).
