Yes I understand it must be difficult to get a clear air location !  I live just off the end of  a runway here (at the beginning of the videos)

So no radio towers or balloons or kites for me -  I do have a possibility to shove a wire out around the point of land on the lake so perhaps Ill do that.
 
Some years ago (Ok some 35 years ago) I used to be a very small cog in in high powered VLF transmissions from Antarctica running 100's of Kw  at a few KHz -and the memories of my knives, forks and kitchen utensils humming at me whilst eating me ham and eggs whilst the Tx was keyed are fond memories. Sadly that Base  (Siple) closed the year of so after I left the continent.
 
Conditions over the  (North) pole were improving but Ive just got another k=4 or more warning so we will see what happens tonight.
