Hi Warren,

guess it should be my turn to explain those inner workings. There have been bits and pieces of information in various discussions on both RSGB groups. The source code is open, but I have not yet gotten around to write up anything like a comprehensive summary. To be done...

No there is no external clock or rational frequency number required, any stable frequency will do. The term coherent should refer to phase continuity across the gaps, so the AM spectrum will contain a distinct and narrow central peak.

So much for now - late again, 2 AM local.

Hello the list,
Can someone point me to a description of how deep search works (not how to install/run the software!). Also, as to the coherent aspect- is this just an accurate transmit frequency or are the individual 'bits' for lack of a better term synched to an external clock such as GPS derived standard. I'm thinking that this may be related to Coherent CW (CCW)?

Thank you!
