Thanks Eddie for the report.
Didn't expect to be that errorfree over 400km :-)
AMTOR-FEC speed is 100Bd, every character is send twice within a certain
interval.
There is also a checksum on every 7-unit character send which should
have a ratio of 3:4.
The ARQ version is even better, later software was developed in such
that every repeat was overlayed on top of the previous one.
So even under bad condx 3 or 4 repeats gives an errorfree print.
Assume that the shift of 85Hz can't be maintained in order to receive it
"error free" considering the higher baudrate.
But it's worth trying it out.
At the mom 478.2 is somewhat stereophonic, many signals but can't decode
any.

Hello Eddie,
Yes, very interesting. Jan/PA3ABK told me that AMTOR-FEC is the same
as NAVTEX. A quick google search and wikipedia check confirmed that
:-) NAVTEX is available in FLDIGI as well, which is fine :-)
I also installed Multipsk now and managed to decode my RTTY (from
Twente) even with that program.
Now i would like to try NAVTEX. Will change to that mode now...

Hi LF
I am continuing to test RTTY below 478.200 reports very welcome.
PA3ABK came up very nicely in QSO with DK7FC.
