Results so far this afternoon with this "non antenna" antenna are amazing me: with an ERP that cannot be more than 5mW I am getting spots from all over the place including from Holland using nothing more than 2 earth electrodes in the ground spaced 20m apart connected by a piece of wire no more than 1.5m off the ground running along the fence! On RX it is equally impressive, having no problem copying G3ZJO's 5mW ERP signal at 79km as well as loads of other stations in the UK and Holland. I still have no idea really why this works as well as it does. There is a video showing the setup on my YouTube channel and on my blog. |
