Ok Wolf , well would be a case for
high speed cw ? catch the call in the
qsb peaks , s4 s6 is a good level
with 150 watts , to the inv L , 40
ft vert section with top coil , garden
is 40 ft x 20 ft , so just shows , can work
500 from a normal station , actually
the inv L is the same as HF , I just change the
tuner from the variometer to the racal
auto tuner , same PA and exciter
Yes people ask about a party ,
unfortunate choice of night ... but
where are the old guard now ?

Subject: Re: LF: DF0WD 472 cw beacon ?
Hi Graham,
Yes, in a sense DF0WD's
transmission must have sounded like a beacon... callsign repeated multiple
times, since after the initial call Fortunato had only copied the 'DF0' but not
the rest; and I could only hope not to 'go down in QSB'. He was 579 here so his
TX must be a bit stronger.
Your signal was between 449 and 569 here,
similar QSB as Jan mentioned.
How about a "Farewell Fivehundred" party in
the coming days ?

Ok Wolf,
Ah , so when is a beacon not a beacon .?..
when its a slow cw qso !
I only looked for short time and copied the
call two times
Jan had qsb on my signal , but he was
ok with me , only 1 or 2 s points ,
but 500 seems to have a distinct time
X distance window at these ranges , where signal's
peak and fall away
